Our greatest joy is to create a floral piece of art that tells a story and will last for many years.

Our story

More than a decade ago, I was asked by a friend who was traveling on St. Patrick’s Day if I could “play the leprechaun” to surprise her children with the magic and whimsy of having been visited by an unseen visitor who left behind a trail of green glittery footprints. The next day, an inspired idea took hold of me: what if there was a way to spread joy and magic, not just for kids, and not just on holidays, but for everyone who still believes that life should be filled with unexpected delight?

And so, FairyDusted was born: a service to curate joyful moments to make enhancing our lives and the lives of those we love as easy as waving a magic wand.

In the beginning, FairyDusted focused on sharing joy with specially curated artisanal gifts. Each time I delivered one of these unexpected gifts, I left behind a little glitter confetti with this little note: “You’ve been FairyDusted… because all of us could use a little more joy in life!”

Then one year while vacationing in Southern Vermont, I happened upon a book in my favorite independent bookstore, Northshire Books, on the art of paper flower making.

Suddenly, I felt like I too had been FairyDusted! My life was transformed.

Since then, I have been making paper flowers from a variety of papers, including discarded storybook pages, calligraphed wedding vows, and other meaningful texts, as well as sustainably sourced, non-toxic crepe paper. Each hand-crafted bloom or foliage is created to celebrate life and to create something whimsical, beautiful, and personal.

I love to create inspired gifts and moments - because all of us could use a little more joy in life!
